Barcelona, October 28, 2021 2nd International Seminar on Patient Experience Hospital Quirónsalud Barcelona
On Thursday, October 28, 2021, Hospital Quirónsalud Barcelona will host the second edition of the International Seminar on Patient Experience.
This year’s event will showcase models and strategies used in centers of excellence so that those in attendance can learn from the best. Special focus will be given to the so-called “great digital shift,” one of the axes of transformation within the industry, with a wide-ranging impact on patient experience. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have seen how telemedicine has taken center stage to the detriment of in-person care, and with promising results.
We have no doubt that our invited speakers—each from different backgrounds and with a wealth of experience from different sectors, geographic areas, and business cultures—will be of great interest to those on hand.
The seminar program will first feature a keynote address about Improving the Patient Experience in the Era of Telehealth and a Global Pandemic at an Academic Medical Center given by Dr. Inga Lennes, Vice-president for Excellence and Practice Improvement at Massachusetts General Hospital, which is considered one of the world’s best hospitals, with the most important hospital research program in the United States based on the needs of patients.
Our second lecture will be delivered by Mr. Brian Solis, a brilliant international speaker who specializes in the impact of innovation on society and enterprises. Mr. Solis is a renowned digital anthropologist with a keen vision on the future of humans and machines.
For the third lecture we will have the participation of Mr. Gary Waymire, Director of the Office of Transformation of Kaiser Permanente International, who is a visionary planner of business models, specialist in leading initiatives focused on innovation and design for the creation of solutions that meet the needs of patients.
The second part of the event will be devoted to a roundtable discussion with the title Employee Experience, a critical element for the Customer Experience, chaired by Ms. Belén Moreu, Senior Director of Human Resources for Southwest Europe at PepsiCo, and Ms. Esther Estepa, Corporate Director of Talent and Employee Experience at Quirónsalud, who will compare visions drawn from two very different organizations, PepsiCo and Quirónsalud, with regard to employee experience and its impact on patient and customer experience.
The seminar will close with an announcement of the winners of the Awards for Outstanding Initiatives in Patient Experience.
There will be a limited in-person audience for the event due to the ongoing pandemic. However, for those who cannot travel to Barcelona for the event, the proceedings will be livestreamed using a 3D virtual platform, which will certainly provide the same experience (or even better if possible).
