Madrid, october 6, 2022 8th International Seminar on Patient Safety and Clinical Excellence Olympia Medical Center

On Thursday October 6, 2022, the innovative Olympia Medical Center in Madrid will host a new edition of the International Seminar on Patient Safety and Clinical Excellence, with the corresponding award ceremony for the Quirónsalud Award for the Best Patient Safety Initiative.

Under the theme “towards Zero Harm”, we will hear the outlook of three renowned experts, all with extensive experience and great prestige in the field of patient safety, and all from very different geographical areas and cultures: USA, Latin America and Europe.

It is undeniable that significant progress has been made in the area of patient safety, but we are still far from  achieving resounding, irrefutable results. And, it is not merely a question of doing as little harm as possible, we must look beyond that, and aspire to achieving Zero Harm. Finding ways to achieve this goal is the main object of the seminar this year.

We are sure you will not only find the talks given by our three speakers of the greatest interest but that they will also generate a lively, constructive discussion between all participants.

After the great attendance at last year’s edition, we will again be holding the Seminar in-person, with unlimited attendance, while for those unable to attend physically, the lectures will be streamed live on this web over our 3D Quirónsalud Virtual Campus platform.

For the seventh year, we are proud to announce the Quirónsalud Award for Outstanding Initiative in Patient Safety, an award that seeks to recognize excellent projects to improve patient safety in clinical practice both within Spain and abroad.

Since the first edition of the award in 2015, a significant number of projects have been submitted—a testament to the interest in improving patient safety and, above all, to the growing commitment of healthcare professionals and administrators to improving clinical practice.
